Faruk Khan distributes food among 3,000 poor families


Awami League Presidium Member and MP from Gopalganj-1 constituency Muhammad Faruk Khan distributed food items among 3,000 poor families of his electoral area from his own fund amid corona crisis.

Local AL leaders delivered the food items to the houses of these poor people at a municipality and 16 union of Muksidpur upazila and 7 union of Kashiyani upazila on April 4, 5 and 6. The food items distributed by the MP included 10 kg rice, 2 kg pulses, 1 liter oil and a soap.  The MP urged everyone in the area to stay patiently inside home and not to engage in disputes during this crisis.

Muksudpur Upazila Awami League President and Municipal Mayor Advocate Md. Atiqur Rahman Mia and Upazila AL General Secretary Md. Rabiul Alam Sikder inaugurated the food distribution programme in each union.

Muksudpur Upazila Awami League units senior vice president Ashraf Ali Ashu, vice president Shah Akram Hossain Jafar, Shyamalk Kanti Bose, Muksudpur Press Club Senior Co-President Md. Chiru Mia and other AL leaders were present at the time. Gopalganj-1 constituency MP Mohammad Farooq Khan’s daughter Kantara Khan, joint convener of Suchinta Bangladesh coordinated the food distribution program.
