Jhenaidah-3 MP Shafiqul Azam Kahn Chanchal distributed three combined harvesters among the farmers in subsidized prices in Moheshpur. The machines were handed over at a programme on Monday morning. Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) in Moheshpur upazila assisted in distributing the harvesters.

Upazila Parishad chairman Maizuddin Hamid, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mamunul Karim, upazila agriculture officer (UAO) Hasan Ali, Awami League Moheshpur upazila unit general secretary Mir Sultanuzzaman Liton and women vice chairman Hasina Khatun Hena attended as special gests.
The guests said the farmers have been availing agricultural machineries, fertilizers and some other materials free of cost or at a subsidized rates to boost production. This sort of assistance will play role in increase the production of adequate and safer food for the nation as well as for exporting in foreign countries.
