A farmer namedBakiMia (48) died on Friday morning at Mohammedpur in Magura with symptoms of diarrhea, fever and respiratory illness. BakiMia was admitted to MohammadpurHealth Complex on Thursday morning with those symptoms. Doctors put him in the Covid-19 isolation ward suspecting Corona. Later, he was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Friday morning and there he died at around 10 am.
Baki Mia is the son of Moslem Mola of Kalmadhari village in Mohammadpurupazila. Besides agricultural work, he occasionally sold vegetables in local market. In thissituation, the local administration has locked down4 houses including the deceased's house, the nearest relatives and neighbour. A medical sample of the deceased was sent to Khulna to confirm the corona.
Mohammad MaksudulMomin, Health and Family planning officer ofMohammadpurUpazilaof Magura, said that Baki Mia has been given normal treatment with isolation from Thursday morning. He was sent to Faridpur Medical College Hospital on Friday morning after his condition deteriorated.
Meanwhile, Sharmin Akhter, daughter of the deceased, said her father suffered from diarrhea for a week. The first few days he was treated by a local village doctor. He was admitted to Mohammedpur Health Complex on Thursday night after suffering from diarrhea.
