Assistant teacher of Faridpur Government Girls High School Md. Nurul Islam, set up awareness-raising billboard in Faridpur town to protect the river and the environment as part of doing a noble job every month in the Mujib Barsho. He placed two billboards in the banner of Beautiful Faridpur on Sunday morning at Dhalar More area and Vajandanga Bhuiyan Bari Ghat area of Faridpur town.
Journalist and human rights activist Mahbub Hossain Piyal assisted him in this noble act.
Teacher Nurul Islam said that for a long time I have been doing a noble job every month with personal money. Earlier, I planted Palm saplings to prevent thunderstorms, planted Krishnachura trees to beautify the city. During the Eid, I distributed food items and cloths to poor families, he added.
His students Arindam, Faratul and Sajin helped him in this initiative.
