Md Imtiaz Hasan Rubel, editor of Daily Vorer Protyasha, has been reelected President of Faridpur Press Club, while Nirmalendu Chakrabarty Shankar, district correspondent of Daily Kaler Kantha, has been elected General Secretary of the club. The election for the Executive Committee of Faridpur Press Club for next two years took place on Tuesday. SM Moniruzzaman, Faridpur Correspondent of Bangladesh Post, has been elected EC committee member of the press club.
Chief Election Commissioner Prof Md Mizanur Rahman announced the result after counting the votes. He said it was a fair election. An Executive Magistrate and members of law enforcement department helped to complete the election fairly.
