Faridpur people panicked as 3,835 expats return home in 15 days

Residents of Faridpur are anxious over the spreading of coronavirus as 3,835 expatriates have returned home in Faridpur during last 15 days. Many of these people are roaming free in the district though they were directed to remain in home quarantine. 

Faridpur health department employees are working in the field level to prevent the coronavirus in Faridpur with a list of expatriates who have returned home recently. 

From last March 1 to March 15, these people came from abroad. Most of them came from India and went to their respective destinations escaping test at immigration. All these people returning from abroad will be found and kept in the home quarantine. The information was given at a press briefing held at the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Room in Faridpur on Tuesday night.

Deputy Commissioner of Faridpur Atul Sarker said that the immigration police have provided the list to the Health Department of Faridpur. There are instructions to keep them in the home quarantine.

The deputy commissioner said that 11 persons have been kept in the home quarantine so far in Faridpur. He advised everyone to remain conscious and not to spread fear of corona. Faridpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Siddikur Rahman, Director of Faridpur Medical
