Jannatul Awlia Nisi, wife of late journalist and member of Chuadanga Press Club Tanjir Ahmed Roni, received a cheque for Tk 20,000 from Kalyan Tohobil of Chuadanga Press Club on May 7.
According to sources, Tanjir Ahmed Roni, Editor (in charge) of local daily 'Akash Khabar and member of Chuadanga Press Club, died of heart attack on Mach 25, 2020.
As per rule of Chuadanga Press Club after the death of a member of the club his nominee will get taka from the welfare fund.
Sarder Alamin, president, Rajib Hasan Kochi, general secretary and Atiar Rahman, treasurer handed over the cheque to the late journalist's wife at her residence. Tosirul Alam Malik Duke, Editor of The Akash Khabar was present at the cheque giving session.
