Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury has said that it is not possible to build the future of Bangladesh unless the female head of the family is economically strong and confident. He said that although the women of the country perform their family responsibilities from morning to night, their contribution has not been properly appreciated for a long time.

He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration of the 'Family Card' distribution program in 41 wards of the city at the Chattogram Airport High School grounds on Tuesday morning.

This time first phase of Chattogram, family cards have been handed over to 5,575 female heads of city.

Amir Khasru said that through the 'Family Card' program announced by Tarique Rahman, female heads of families have been selected to evaluate the backward families. Under this project, 2,500 taka is being given directly to the bank account of each female head of the family, which will help them strengthen their finances.

Referring to the family card as a smart card, he said that in the future, various national-level facilities will be provided through this card.
