Mahdi Hasan Fahim will represent Bangladesh at the Mister World 2019 competition which will start in Manilla at the end of this August.
Fahim was crowned as the winner of Mister World Bangladesh 2019 among the 5000 contestants following a dazzling gala night at International Convention Centre Bashundhara (ICCB) on Sunday.
Mehedi Hasan and Ahsan Raj Hanif tied for the position of first runner up. The second runner up position was also tied between Ahsan Raj and Hamza Khan Chowdhury. For the first time ever, male beauty pageant ‘Mr World Bangladesh’ took place in the country.
The main judges in the competition were founder of Vajrapran and Butthan martial arts movement Dr Mak Yuree and guerilla freedom fighter, lead actor of Ora Egaro Jon Kamrul Alam Khan Khasru. Among the other judges were model and actor Sanju John, model Prince and Walmart’s fashion designer Abdullah Al Mamun. The finale was hosted by RJ Sayem and Shrabonno Touhida.
‘Mr World Bangladesh’ organizer Antar Showbiz chairman Shapan Chowdhury said, the top 10 finalists were selected over various stages from almost 6000 participants from all over the country. After several grooming programs, the winner was selected through various competitions. The 10 finalists were Ahsan Raj Hanif, A Rab, Joitu Chowdhury, Mahdi Hasan Fahim, Hamza Khan Chowdhury, Zubaer Khan, Rasel Ahmed, Mehedi Hasan and Shujan Islam,
The champion will represent Bangladesh in ‘Mr World’ pageant to be held at the end of August in Manila, Philippines. So far 72 countries have finalized their representatives for the ‘Mr World’ competition. The competition is set to begin from the 23rd of August. South Asian winner Rohit Khandelwal won the competition as the representative of India back in 2016. Previously, Antar Showbiz organised “Miss World Bangladesh,” a leading female beauty pageant representing the country on global platforms.
