A factory was fined at Tk 100000 for using gas illegally at Tek Nogopara area of Gazipur city on Monday.
Executive magistrate of Gazipur district administration Thunder Kamruzzaman fined the factory owner Khan Mohammed Aftab Uddin for using of the gas connecting pipeline without any permission of Titas gas authority. The officials of Gazipur Titas gas office were present during the drive.
The manager of Gazipur Titas gas office engineer Agit Chandra Deb said, a number of residence of Tek Nogopara area have been using titas gas without any permission. On a secret information , Gazipur Titas gas authority conducted a drive at the area and disconnected about 2000 meters of illegal line. They seized 700 meters pipe, gas rizer, woven and others material used illegal connection.
However, a mobile court was conducted led by executive magistrate Thander Kamruzzaman and a block factory named Spectra Engineers Limited was fined at tk 100000 for using illegal gas in the factory.
Manager of Titas gas transmission and distribution company Gazipur regional office Engineer Ajit Chandra Deb, deputy manager Engineer Sabiul Awal, Abdul Alim Rasel and Engineer Abu Sufian, assistant engineer Mirza Shahnewaj Latif, assistant manager Rezaul Haque , sub-assistant engineer Mohammed Sabinur Rahman, SM Anowar Hossain and Asadullah Kaiser were present during the operation.
