Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) CommissionerKhandkar Golam Farooq on Sunday asked the police forces to keep ‘cool brain’ in facing any situation to keep the law and order normal.
He also instructed them to obey orders of the commander with patience.
He gave these instructions after inspecting the master parade held at Mirpur POM Police Lines ground on Sunday morning.
The DMP chief said,“Everyone should keep in mind the teaching of parade for discipline and future leadership. Police have to be proficient in both civilian dress and uniform. In any situation, keep a cool head and obey command of the commander”.
The DMP Commissioner said, “Commanders should lead with confidence.The Deputy Commissioners concerned should be continuously paraded for physical fitness and mental well-being”, he continued.
Faruq also gave instructions for ensuring necessary training on how to defend oneself with bare hands and do public management.
He said that the force of Public Order Management (POM) played a very laudable humanitarian role in the fire incident in New Market. As a result, the status of DMP and Bangladesh Police has increased. They have already been rewarded.
He expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the POM Force in the last few months.
DMP Additional Police Commissioners AKM Hafiz Akhtar,DrMahid Uddin, MdAshrafuzzaman, Munibur Rahman, MdAsaduzzaman, Joint Commissioners, DCs and other senior officers were also present.
