In the search for the most unique type of desserts in Dhaka, Edith is a clear winner. It is situated at Banani 11. The last time I visited Edith, I tried three of their desserts and fell in love with every single one of them. The Pecan Pie (BDT 475++) is made with chocolate ganache and pecan crust. The pecan pie is made with very rich dark chocolate.

Buford (BDT 275++) is basically a vanilla cake which will easily blend into your mouth. It had a combination of coconut in it. The blend of vanilla with coconut together will surely make you fall in love with it! The Mousse Cake (BDT 475++) is a white chocolate passion fruit pie. On the top it has a yellow glaze which is a white chocolate passion fruit glaze. Mainly it is a white chocolate mousse with passion fruit cremeux, praline crunch and a coconut dacquoise base. This is the dessert I can have for the whole day!

Now let’s discuss the amazing savoury items you must try when you’re at Edith. Firstly I will be talking about the Mushroom soup (BDT 400++). This soup is made with cilantro cream, white button mushrooms and crushed pepper corn. I liked the creamy texture of the soup. It can be shared by two people. The Papardelle Pasta (BDT 1000++) is combined with leek cream, crispy garlic and basil. The main attraction of the pasta is the meatball. They serve three big meatballs with it. It can be shared by 2-3 people.

Thirdly, the most attractive dish was the Mutton Osso Bucco (BDT 2000++). It is made with braised mutton shanks, coconut pumpkin purée, gremolata, baguette slices. Trust me this is the best mutton you’ll have! I loved the combination of the coconut pumpkin sauce with the mutton so much that I licked my fingers! The dish can be shared by 2 to 3 people. Last, but not the least, the Passionfruit drink (BDT 375++) which complemented the whole meal. Believe it or not, this drink is quite hard to finish alone. It had a tart and fruity flavour which was brightened with lime.

The Ceviche (BDT 1400++) is a Latin American Recipe and a unique dish from Edith. It is basically a fish dish with two taro chips. The taro chips were complementing the dish. This dish is cooked without any heat. The taste was tangy and spicy. But the amount should have been a bit more according to the price. It is shareable by 2 people. Another unique item I tried is the crema cafe. The Crema Cafe (BDT 160++) is a shot which is totally made with foam. It is a light dessert and has a perfectly balanced coffee taste. Loved the uniqueness a lot!

One thing to be mentioned about Edith is the interior which is so gorgeous and beautiful you will feel stunned. I loved the interior a lot! They also have some marvelous macaroons and quality tea for a perfect evening plan.
