Export, import begin through Darshana

Export and import between Bangladesh and India has been started on May 9 about 44 days after over coronavirus through Darshana Inter National Train Station in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga district.  

A goods-laden train of India arrived at Darshana Inter National Rail Way Station in the afternoon on May 9 with imported onion.  

Rofiqul Islam, C&F agent of Darshana, said Khalid Hasan Traders of Saatkhira purchased 45.2 metric tons of onion from RK Enterprise of Maldah in India. The RK Enterprise loaded the onion on 42 compartment of goods train for export. The train arrived in Bangladesh. 

Mir Liakot Ali, Superintendent of Darshana Inter National  Rail Station, said onion is being unloaded from the train and loaded on trucks for sending different parts of the country.
