Speakers at a meeting highlighted needs to improve overall governance level amongst Listed Companies also discussed ease of doing business.
The discussion took place as a delegation from the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed companies (BAPLC), led by President Rupali Haque Chowdhury paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Khondoker Rashed Maqsood and it’s Commissioners at the Securities Exchange Bhaban at Agargaon, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Administrative Area in the capital recently.
Commissioners of BSEC Dr. ATM Tariquzzaman, Md. Mohsin Chowdhury were also present at the meeting.
Besides exchanging greetings from both sides, the Association taken up some specific issues that need to be addressed to improve overall governance level amongst Listed Companies and for the ease of doing business.
The meeting was extremely productive and cordial amid the important discussions and both sides expressed their eagerness to jointly work for the development of the Capital Market.
Executive Committee Members Abdullah Al Mahmud, Syed Farhad Ahmed, Md. Kyser Hamid, Mohammed younus, Tajwar Muhammed Awal Zeyad Rahman, Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, Md. Sharif Hasan, Manir Hossain, Secretary General Md. Amzad Hossain were also present at the meeting.
