Speakers at a workshop stressed proper implementation of a road-map launched by the Ministry of Agriculture to boost export of potatoes from Bangladesh.
The workshop titled ‘Implementation of Road-Map launched by the ministry of Agriculture of export development of potatoes from Bangladesh’ was held on Wednesday at Manik Mia Avenue, ‘Sech Bhaban’, BADC Auditorium in Dhaka.
AFM Hayatullah, Chairman, Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation attended the workshop as the chief guest, organized by Bangladesh Potato Exporters Association, a top organization of potato exporters.
D. Wayes Kabir, former executive chairman of BARC, Dhaka, D. Shohela Akter, Director Kandal Crop Research Center, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Center, Gazipur as a special guest present on the occasion.
Bangladesh Potato Exporters Association President Sheikh Abdul Quader presided over the workshop while Md. Rezaul Karim Chief Coordinator, Research Cell, BADC, Dhaka, presented the keynote paper.
Md. Shamsul Alam, Additional Director (Plant Quarantine), Department of Agricultural Extension, Dhaka, Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Member Director (Seeds and Horticulture) Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation spoke on various issues and solutions in potato export.
Md. Zakir Hossain, General Secretary of Potato Exporters Association delivered address of welcome speech on the occasion.
