Experts for building education system friendly to entrepreneurship

Speakers at a policy dialogue on Saturday called upon the policy makers of the government and non-government sectors to come forward to build an entrepreneur-friendly education system. 

As part of the celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week Daffodil International University in association with Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Research and Startup Nations organized the policy dialogue titled “Ways to support Entrepreneurs during Crisis and Driving Economic Recovery” through online platform. 

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil Family & Daffodil International University, Dr. Kelly Shaver, President, Entrepreneurship Mindset, Cristina Fernandez, Vice President of Policy, Global Entrepreneurship Network, Mohsina Yasmin, Executive Member (Additional Secretary), Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) were present at the program as discussants.

"Our education system has not yet become entrepreneur-friendly. There are not enough educational institutions in Bangladesh to read in detail about how to start a startup, how to find investors, how to make business strategy, how to deal with crisis situation etc. But there is no way for the economic development and prosperity of a country without creating a huge number of entrepreneurs", said Dr. Md. Sabur Khan.

He called upon the policy makers of the government and non-government sectors to come forward to build an entrepreneur-friendly education system. 

He also underscored the need to radically change and streamline the present education system
