Dr Md  Abdullah

Suggestions are only for them who are “khadim of Haramine Sharifain”. It is not unusual that what I am going to write, these are outside the knowledge of authority. If they know my suggestions, they will take proper steps regarding the problems. As a result, respected guests of ‘Baitullah’ and ‘Holy City’ of Muhammad (Sm) will be benefited.

Hajj and Tariq

It is not necessary to mention that it is important to maintain the discipline of this large gathering. People from different corner of the world come here on these occasions. It is natural that their behavior will be of a different pattern. But the behavior of the people who are appointed there to maintain discipline (volunteers) of the gathering is quite rude. Their behavior expresses that, those who come to their country on these occasions are just like ‘Slaves’. Why am I using such a sentence?

Here is the explanation. The first word of volunteers is ‘Ya Allah haj’ or ‘haj’ that means hello haji. The second word is ‘Tariq’ that means road. The third is their behavior which is necessary to mention, very much inhuman, pathetic and rude. If you ask them anything for example- I am very much ill or my mother who is with me of eighty years old etc., they will grab your shoulder and push you back as they like. This is undoubtedly physical and mental assault. The authority should think about it deeply. Do the guests of Baitullah deserve this kind of behavior? They did not go there to earn money!

The age of volunteers who behave so rudely is between 18 and 22 years and they are doing it with whom? With the people who are like their father, teacher and educated people. It is necessary to mention if any haji wants to talk with them about his inability, the reward is he will be transferred to the police to arrest the haji.

Suggestions:

A)    Arrangement of a training program for the volunteers. This training program should impart high moral value and at the same time, it will teach how to maintain discipline of such a large gathering. In this Program, volunteers have to learn one thing which is, “Hujjaj and Mu’tamirun”are respectful guests of ‘Baitullah’ and at the same time of themselves. All the behaviors with them those are out of courtesy must be strictly prohibited. Allah has kindly given them the scope to serve “Hujjaj and Mu’tamirun”.

B)    Recruitment of people from the countries of the ‘Jaaerun’ according to the ratio of their number. These people must be expert in the Arabic language. Most often great problems occur due to the language barrier. Appointed people will help the volunteers to overcome the language barrier. They may also help the ‘Hujjaj’ of their country directly as they are of the same language. According to this ratio people should be appointed. There is no need to appoint people from the Arabic country.

C)    Recruitment of large team of people who know the English language also is necessary. This appointment should be only from the countries of Hujjaj (other than Arab countries). Because there is a difference of pronunciation, accent of the language of different countries. Last ten Ramadan or more I was in ‘Herem’. I talked with the people but none of them knew English.

Hotels and shops of Saudi Arabia do ‘julum’ with the “Hujjaj and Mu’tamirun” in this season. Regarding this subject, the administration has to interfere. Profit is necessary to business but must not take the opportunity of the weakness of the customers. For example, if rent of a room is 100 rial or less in increased to 500 rial or more during Ramadan. The same thing is applicable to diet, grocery etc.

During ‘Tawaf’ we shall pray to Allah attentively, this is natural. But some people take this as a picnic. They are too busy with mobile taking group pictures and selfies, recording videos etc. Some of them are engaged in video call and show themselves in front of the door of Baitullah, Hajre Aswad and behind Makam-e-Ibrahim and at the same time also they are busy in Tawaf. If you are busy with mobile or video call then how your Tawaf will be perfect? According to my opinion, if the mobile is not prohibited, the spirit of Tawaf will be hampered and abolished.

One thing we have to keep in our mind seriously, “Number of ‘Jaaerun’ has increased many times compared to the past. So beyond ones wish, it is impossible for a male to keep him out of the touch of a female body. On the other hand, it is not possible for a female to keep her separated from the touch of a male body. My opinion is, according to the number of males and female time should be divided for ‘Tawaf’.

I hope the authority concerned will consider my suggestions and implement them properly.  As a result, ‘Mu’tamirun’ and ‘Hujjaj’ will be highly benefited by this and at the same time, ‘Khademain’ will get the high reward from the Almighty Allah.
