Expand Yellow Bird’s activities

The Girl Guides Association on Tuesday held a view exchange meeting with Habiganj district administration and guardians to expand the activities of ‘Yellow Bird’ in the district. 

In order to develop the girls students as characteristic, disciplined, philanthropic and self-respected citizens, an initiative has been taken by forming a group named ‘yellow bird’ with the girls students from 20 primary schools in Habiganj district.

A total 12 to 24 students are taken from the each school. A teacher will serve the team as a yellow bird rider (wise bird). The yellow bird rider will be provided the basic training soon. 

Morzina Khatun, Additional District Commissioner (Education and ICT) Presided over the discussion at the district administration's conference room.

Among others, Abdur Razzak, District Primary Education Officer, Sudhangshu Karmakar, Headmaster of Habiganj BKGC Government Girls' High School, Advocate Shah Fakhruzzaman, Former Secretary of Press Club, Babli Purakshayastha, Sylhet Regional Commissioner of Girls Guide and Regional treasurer Chowdhury Ferdous Ara Kamal were present there. Teachers and guardians of 20 selected schools participated in the discussion.

ADC Morjina Khatun said, such programs will help the students when they will enter the workplace.

Mentioned, honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave special importance to expand the yellow birds for building the girls students confident.
