A multi-stakeholder steering committee meeting was held on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the waste management of Magura Municipality. The meeting was organized by the International Development Agency Practical Action in Bangladesh with the financial support of the donors Bill and Milinda Gates Foundation.
Ashutosh Saha, president of the multi-stakeholder steering Committe Presided over the meeting while Magura Municipality Secretary Mohammad Rezaul Karim, Engineer Saiful Islam Herok, Assistant Engineer Mahbubur Rahman, General Secretary of Magura Press Club Shamim Khan, Municipal Councilor Liaquat Ali, Councilor Monira Begum, Councilor Suraiya Ferdousi spoke on the occasion. Md. Abdul Karim, Officer of Practical Action Coordinating the meeting.
During the exchange of views, the participants made various recommendations on waste and solid waste management activities to build a safe and healthy city for the citizens.
