Ex-BCL leader missing

Businessmen named Omar Faruque, also a former Chhatra League leader of Chittagong University unit, went missing from the capital on Sunday. Family members of filed a general diary with Hatirjheel Police Station in this regard.

Md. Mamun, brother of Omar Faruque said Omar Faruque went to his own office at Razzak Plaza of Magbazar area in capital from his house around 10:30am on Sunday morning. His wife was able to reach him over phone call around 2:00pm for last time on the day. No further trace of him has been found since then.

Md. Shafique, a relative of Omer Faruque said, “Omer faruque used to do business of Air conditioner (AC). He told his wife that he will go to Baitul Mokarrom Market and he wouldn’t return home at noon. This is the last conversation he had with his wife on that day. Since then he went missing.”

He further said, “We found CCTV footage of his entry into his office but we couldn’t found footage of leaving office of him.”
