A total of 2190 houses including 673 houses will be given to landless and homeless families in the 3rd phase in Kishoreganj district. 52 upazilas and 2 districts will be declared homeless on July 21 under Asharyan Project-2. Among them, Katiadi Upazila of Kishoreganj district will be declared the first homeless free in the district.
So far 616 houses have been provided in the 1st phase, 631 in the 2nd phase and 673 in the 3rd phase in Kishoreganj district. Already 2055 houses have been handed over and 35 houses are awaiting
inauguration.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Shamim Alam gave this information at a press conference and exchange of views in the conference room of Kishoreganj district administration office on Tuesday (19 July).
Local Government Deputy Director Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Additional District Megistrate Farzana Khanam, District Krishak League General Secretary Anwar Hossain Bacchu, Kishoreganj Press Club Convener Advocate A.B.M Lutfor Rashid Rana were present among others.
