Bangladesh T20 skipper Mahmudullah Riyad believes that every match in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup is crucial, he also thinks it is possible to win every match if they can deliver an all-round performance.

The ICC T20 World Cup is set to be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman on October 17 with Oman taking on Papua New Guinea in the opener followed by the evening match between Scotland and Bangladesh in round one of the competitions.

“I think the tournaments like T20 world cup or any other world cup, every match is important whoever you are playing against each game is important equally. You must be on the top from the first ball, you have to be in a frame of mind and focus on your team process, you can win every game,” said Mahmudullah in a video message.

Bangladesh’s T20 captain claimed that there are 5-6 all-rounders in the team and the bowling unit is the main strength for the side. Meanwhile, he also said Bangladesh is a balanced team in terms of batting and bowling.

“I think our strengths have been our all-rounder and the bowling department. Having said that our batting department is also good. I think we have a good balance in our team. Especially with 5 and 6 all-rounders, we can ball, and bat and our bowling department have been doing literally well and they are doing a great job at the moment,” he added.

Mahmudullah said all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is most important player of the team.

"If you want few names, I would say Shakib (Al Hasan). Shakib has been the number one all-rounder and he's the most valuable player in our team. Having said that Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman are also very important,” he ended.
