A debate competition on national budget 2019-20 was held at seminar hall of Eastern University (EU) on Sunday. Prof Dr Shahid Akhtar Hossain, Vice Chancellor of Eastern University chaired the session.
In association with Debate Club of EU, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) arranged the competition. Convener and the Director of IQAC Prof Dr Md Ashraf Hossain delivered his welcome speech while Prof Abbas Ali Khan, Dean of FBA gave the vote of thanks.
Prof Dr M Abu Eusuf, former chairman of development studies & director of center on budget and policy of Dhaka University was the chief guest. Prof Dr M Abul Hossain, former Pro-VC and dean of the combined faculty of Noakhali Science & Technology University was the guest of honour.
Dr M Abul Hossain and Shawkat Hossain was part of the judge’s panel of the debate competition. Registrar Abul Basher Khan and Dewan Amana, controller of examination were also part of the panel.
Deans, chairmen, faculty members and officials along with a large number of students were present at the debate competition.
