‘Eternal Bangabandhu Ambassador of Bengal’ event held in Cox’s Bazar

The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was remembered in the 'Eternal Bangabandhu Banglar Dut' programme organized in Cox's Bazar. And Bangabandhu's history and journey was discussed to sent a message to the next generation.

On Monday night at Shahid Subhash Hall of Cox's Bazar Institute and Public Library, on the occasion of National Mourning Day-2022, the 'Eternal Bangabandhu Banglar Dut' program organized by the National Mourning Day Celebration Council, Cox's Bazar had a different level of presentation throughout the event.

During the event, Bangabandhu and Bangladesh's various paintings exhibition, book exhibition about Bangabandhu was a sight to behold, alongside the featured artists in Shaheed Daulat Maidan of Public Library. The guests paid tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait and inaugurated the exhibition of paintings and books.

The Chief Guest of the program which started with the National Anthem, Kavi Kamal Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Birth Centenary Celebration and Implementation Committee, said that it is not possible to identify Bangabandhu with any single adjective. A nation, a continent and a history is the immortal chapter of Bangabandhu.

Bangla Academy Director General Kavi Muhammad Nurul Huda inaugurated the event. Deputy Commissioner Md. Mamunur Rashid, Bangladesh Awami League Central Committee Religious Affairs Secretary Advocate Sirajul Mostafa, Jatiya Kavita Parishad General Secretary Poet Tariq Sujat, Cox's Bazar District Awami League President Advocate Faridul Islam, General Secretary Mayor Mujibur Rahman and Poet Sadikur Rahman Parag spoke as special guests.

National Mourning Day Celebration Parishad, Cox's Bazar convener and Cox's Bazar Municipal Awami League President Mohammad Najibul Islam presided over the function and gave a greeting speech on the occasion, National Mourning Day Celebration Parishad, Cox's Bazar Secretary and Cox's Bazar Municipal Awami League General Secretary Ujjal Kar.

Poems dedicated to Bangabandhu were recited in the program moderated by poet advocate Riduan Ali, poets Amit Chowdhury, Asif Noor, Zaheed Sarwar, Manik Bairagi, Ahasanul Haque, Rtil Manisha, Nilotpal Barua, Nupa Alam, Khaled Shahid, Shamim Akhtar, Darpan Barua, Nidhu Rishi, Sifat Al Noor, Kalam Azad, Mizan Monir, Rudra Shahadat, Mam Ahmed etc.

Along with the National Anthem, the Satyen Sen group and their singer Purnita Barua performed a joint song and a solo song. Recitations were presented by Shabadayan Recitation Academy led by reciter Jaseem Uddin Bakul and Shruti Recitation Arena led by Pratibha Das. Later, as part of Cox's Bazar Municipal Awami League's Mourning Day programme, prizes were distributed among the participants and winners of a three-day competition organized for students. Satyapriya Chowdhury Dolan, president of Samilit Sanskultur Jot, president of the competition committee, Asif Noor and Paresh Kanti Dey accepted the honor as judges in the organized phase. The winners received the awards one by one with the help of organizing committee secretary Wahid Murad Suman, members Faisal Huda, Abul Kalam, Shamser Jewel, Sohail Rana, Helal Uddin and Mohammad Abdullah.

Ayush Biswas, a student of Pariksan School attached to PTI, became the first in recitation competition in group A, Swayangdyuti Chowdhury of Biam Laboratory School and Silma Subah of the same institution came second, Rubaiya Binte Rahman Arwa of Pariksan School attached to PTI came third. Mohtasin Huda Uchhbas of Laboratory School came first in Group B, Iftisam Chowdhury of Holy Child School came second, Elijah Noor Ista of Biam Laboratory School came third. In Group C, Nuzhat Rahman Warisha of Baytush Sharaf School became the first, Safia Chowdhury Soha and Maria Kibatia of the same institution came third. In Group D, Bandhan Sarkar of Cox's Bazar City College came first, Aishi Pal of Cox's Bazar Government College came second, Raojatul Jannat of Chittagong City College came third.

Shaheen Alam Nishan of Beach Public School came first in Group A in Essay Competition, Abtahi Md. of Pariksan School attached to PTI came second. Al Jawad, third was Eliza Noor of Beam Laboratory School. In Group B, Muhammad Shahriar Rafsan Limon of Cox's Bazar Government High School stood first, Maul Islam Nihal of the same institution stood second, Upma Das of Cox's Bazar Government Girls' High School stood third.

Mehreen Rashid Taha of Ramu Cantonment School came first in drawing competition, Swayangdyudi Chowdhury of Biam Laboratory School came second, Faripta Islam Ishal of Cox's Bazar International School came third. Kaushik De Bappi of Parikshana School attached to PTI came first in Group B, Adrik Biswas of the same institution came second, Abtahi Md. of Maheshkhali Gorakghata Government Primary School came third. Al Jawad. In Group C, Samia Jannat Ariba of Cox's Bazar Model School stood first, Chowdhury Tajrian Saiful Putul stood second, Lilian Tripura stood third.

Finally, the play 'Muktir Mahanayak' written and directed by Swapan Bhattacharya was staged by Cox's Bazar Theatre.
