Ershad needs B positive blood

Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, now undergoing treatment at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka, needs B positive blood for further treatment. Blood donars have been requested to communicate with CMH, the party sources said. On Thursday, his brother and the party Acting Chairman GM Quader said he has been placed on life support as his condition deteriorated.He has given sleeping pill and pain killer.

Earlier on Thursday, at a press conference at Jatiya Party chairman's Banani office, GM Quader said the health condition of Ershad was not improving as physicians expected. He said the infection of his brother's lungs is not easing as per expectation and  the kidneys are not functioning properly.

Quting CMH physicians, he said ‘ All his test reports have been sent to the doctors of Singapore National University Hospital. But the physicians of the hospital do not support to bring him to Singapore considering his health condition. The 90-years old former military ruler was admitted to CMH on June 22 with the complecations of low haemoglobin and liver problem, high bilirubin and serious keen pain.
