In remembrance of martyrs of the July-August mass uprising, Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL) organised a tree plantation programme in Chattogram.
As part of this programme, the ERL authorities organized a special program. There, everyone, including officers and employees, planted trees.
The main objective of this programme was to pay tribute to the sacrifice of the martyrs and contribute to environmental protection.
The tree plantation programme was inaugurated by ERL Managing Director Md. Sharif Hasnat on Tuesday. Senior officers and employees of ERL were present at the time.
In this programme, saplings of different species of trees were planted in the green premises of ERL. All those present discussed the importance of tree care and environmental protection.
The program prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs of the July Movement and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
The concerned people organized such an event to make the new generation aware of the July Uprising and its history.
