EPB services added to BSCIC OSS

The services of the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) have been added to the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) One Stop Service. 

In this regard a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between BSCIC and EPB to provide EPB’s services through one-stop service. The MOU was signed by BSCIC Chairman Md. Mahbubur Rahman (Grade-1) and EPB Vice Chairman AHM Ahsan on behalf of their respective institutions in BSCIC office in the capital on Wednesday. 

From now on, entrepreneurs will be able to receive the following services of EPB through the BSCIC One Stop Service System, Receiving and processing applications for exporter enrollment and registration, Assistance in issue of Certificate of Origin where applicable, To provide opportunities to BSIC registered entrepreneurs to participate in various fairs and exhibitions organized in the country and abroad, Providing cooperation to both parties in training related activities, and providing mutual assistance in the display and marketing of Bangladeshi products.

The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by all the members of BSCIC Board of Directors, BSCIC Secretary and senior officials of BSCIC and EPB officials.

It is to be noted that previously four institutions of the government (BIDA, BEZA, BEPAZA and Hi-Tech Park Authority) were included in the list of one stop service providers. From June 2021, BSCIC One Stop Service started its journey. 29 services of BSCIC's own and 13 services of other departments/ organizations are providing through BSCIC One Stop Service.

At present, BSCIC One Stop Service System includes industrial registration, industrial re-registration, industrial renewal, industrial registration amendment, industrial registration cancellation, contractor re-registration, contractor re-registration, contractor amendment, contractor renewal, training program, IRC recommendation and total 35 including 24 services of Department of Environment. A total of 12378 services have been provided through Basic One Stop Service till December, 2022.
