Entrepreneurs, start-ups urged to come up with innovative solutions

Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak called upon innovators, entrepreneurs and start-ups to work on new innovative solutions. He said that instead of looking at profit, something should be invented that will have a positive impact on the economy and the environment. Everyone should build such an inclusive society and country, through which participation and innovative Smart Bangladesh will be developed.

The state minister said these words as the chief guest at the inaugural function of the "Sankalp Dhaka Conference 2023" to create an ecosystem of entrepreneurial culture in Bangladesh at a city hotel in the capital on Sunday. 

Former Ambassador Gurjit Singh, Intellecap Managing Director Jayesh Bhatia, ABFRL CSO Dr. Naresh Tyagi, UCBL Managing Director Md Arif Qadri, SBK Managing Director Sonia Bashir Kabir, Startup Bangladesh Managing Director Sami Ahmed, Intelelcap Director Venkat Kotamaraju, were present on the occasion among others. .

The state minister said that under the bold leadership of the prime minister, our main goal is to create job opportunities for the youth. 

He said 13,000 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs, 300 Schools of Future have been established in the country to build innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up ecosystem. Business incubation centers are being set up in the universities of the country and in addition to this, 12 knowledge parks will be established in or near the university, he said. 

Intellecap Managing Director Jayesh Bhatia promised to help 1000 entrepreneurs by 2030. On the other hand, Sonia Bashir Kabir emphasized on data rather than gender to ensure smart devices for everyone. And Sami Ahmed emphasized on investing in things that have a positive impact on the environment and the environment globally.  

In a press meet following the programme, titled ‘1st Edition of the Sankalp Dhaka Summit 2023’, Vineet Rai, Founder and Chairman, of the USD 1.2 billion dollars of Assets Under Management, Aavishkaar Group spoke about how the Group has delivered and facilitated impact unicorns in India and across the Global South. Vineet Rai is also a member of the G20 taskforce on Start Ups and spoke about the limitless opportunity that startups and enterprises in the region can uncover.
