As part of worldwide celebrations, the Chinese New Year 2020 was celebrated on Monday evening at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center. The performances of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region art troupe were well received.
Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming inaugurated the event. AKM Matiur Rahman, joint secretary of the Asian department of economic relations of the ministry of finance and others were present at the programme.
Speaking at the programme, the Chinese Ambassador said, “Bangladesh-China is now passing through a very good time in terms of friendly ties between the two nations. The two countries have now become strategic partners and the mutual cooperation between the nations is increasing”.
