EMK celebrates International Literacy Day

To celebrate International Literacy Day 2019, EMK Center and Dhaka University Mime Action organised a mime theatrical performance ‘3rd Thought’ on Sunday at EMK Center in Dhanmondi of the capital.

This performance was based on the thoughts of the individual’s mind which reflects the welfare of the society beyond the individual interests. This brought a deep meaning of human life and emphasize on the peace and harmony of human being on earth.

The performance included ten mime sketches.

With the slogan ‘Let the unspoken tales to be expressed without speech’ Dhaka University Mime Action (DUMA) started its journey on February 27, 2011 at TSC. DUMA is an 8 years old organization in the Dhaka University. During 8 years its performances, experiences and reputation has also flourished enough to call itself as one of the more established organization.

Some of its mime productions are ‘Overcome’, ‘Kalorat’, ‘Football Football’, ‘My dream: I can walk’, ‘Circle’, ‘Subudh’, ‘Reverse’, ‘Remand Seen’, ‘Oporajoy Bangla’, ‘No lands Man’, ‘Normal–Paranormal’, ‘Ebong Bangladesh’, ‘All Knowing Quack’, ‘Statue and the Beggar’, ‘Birth of Devil’, ‘Cross-Connection’, ‘Amra Morte Chai Na’, ‘Dance Competition’, ‘Bangladesh Amar Bangladesh’, ‘Light Vs Darkness’ etc.
