In this regard, we would like to mention that construction of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge has already created a perception that “Bangladesh can do” and it has brightened the country’s image in the world.
According to a study, around 23,000 people are living in every square kilometer of the capital city, which has 306 square kilometers. As a result, traffic congestion is a common phenomenon in the city. Every year, thousands of common people rush to Dhaka from villages for livelihood.
After assuming power in 2009, the Awami League government took various initiatives to ease traffic congestion in capital Dhaka. It is clear to all now that Bangladesh is progressing rapidly braving all odds and plots.
The authorities concerned should inspect the elevated expressway everyday and maintain properly in order to keep the infrastructure components in good shape.
