Electioneering is going on in full swing for Jashore-6 by-election which is shceduled to be held on March 29 amid prevailing coronavirus scare. Although gatherings have been prohibited to prevent the virus from spreading leaders are joining campaign in Keshabpur upazila in Jashore causing gatherings.
On the occasion election campaign on behalf of AL nominated candidate Shaheen Chaklader is going on in the upazila. On Wednesday upazila AL unit held yard meetings, street meetings and distributed leaflets on behalf of Shaheen Chaklader at Jamalganj Bazar of Majidpur union, Atanda-Srifala Bazar, Shikarpur Bazar and Srirampur Bazar area in the upazila.
Vice chairman of Jashore AL unit AKM Khayrat Hossain, President of Keshabpur AL unit SM Ruhul Amin, Acting President of Majidpur Union AL unit Mashiur Rahman Piru and General Secretary Gazi Golam Sarowar were present at the programme.
Meanwhile, on the same day the general secretary of upazila AL unit Gazi Golam Mostafa was present at election campaign at Vidyanandakati Union Bhandarkhola Bazar, Parchakra Bazar and Baushala Bazar.
Among others Benapole Municipal Mayor Ashraful Alam Liton, Vidyanandakati UP Chairman Amjad Hossain and Convenor of Vidyanandakati AL unit BM Ibrahim Hossain were present at the campaign among others.
