Monwara Khatun, 60, a passenger was killed when her easy bike was hit by an illegal shallow engine-powered Lata Humber at Narikel Bagan area on the Jibannagar-Duttnagar road in Chuadanga around 930 pm on Wednesday.
Four other members of Monwara's family including 2 children were injured in the accident. The injured were rescued and admitted to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex.
The deceased Monwara was the wife of Golam Hossain of Husarkhali village in Maheshpur upazila of Jhenaidah district.
After the accident when they all were rescued and taken to Jibannagar Hospital, the on-duty doctor declared Monowara Khatun dead.
Jibannagar Police Station OC (Investigation) Ferdous Wahid said, attempts are being made to identify and arrest the Lata Humber driver involved in the accident.
