The World Tourism Day-2023 will be celebrated worldwide on September 27 with the theme “Tourism and Green Investment”.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism has taken initiatives to observe the day in Bangladesh as elsewhere in the world.
To mark the day, the Bangladesh Tourism Board, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism is organizing a four-day ‘Bangladesh Festival’ at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC).
Airlines, hotels, resorts, amusement parks, tourist-vessels, travel agents and tour operators will participate in the festival from September 27 to 30.
Tourism product and service providers of different districts will participate here. There will be various offers and arrangements of nationwide tourism in this festival. The festival will help the visitors to make their interesting tour plans in Bangladesh in the future.
In this festival, there will be food from different countries along with authentic and traditional food of Bangladesh.
Visitors can learn about the natural beauty, archaeological sites, history, traditions,tourism resources of Bangladesh.
There will be opportunity to see pictures of tourist attractions of each district. The festival will provide an opportunity to learn about and enjoy unique and authentic local and foreign cuisines.
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, seminars will be held on tea tourism, safety of tourists and tourist destinations, accommodation, transportation, data innovation, SDGs and tourism, investment opportunities in tourism, human resource development in tourism sector and participation of women in tourism industry etc.
The four-day long cultural program will include Gambhira, Gazi Kalur Pot, PothoNatya, Baul Song, Puthi Path, Kawali etc.
Bangladesh Tourism Board is planning to celebrate World Tourism Day at the same place every year. This festival will be a platform, from where the opportunity to see all the tourist attractions of Bangladesh will be created.
Bangladesh Festival will present all the traditions of Bangladesh to you as well as highlight all the opportunities to travel around this beautiful country.
