Newbie actress Priyanka Islam has worked in a short film titled ‘Ek Kg Chal’. Directed by journalist-actor Ahmed Sabbir Romeo, the short film has been specially made for Father’s Day.
Talking about the film, Ahmed Sabbir Romeo said, “The story of the short film is based on a Facebook status. It depicts the crisis of a lower middle class family during the coronavirus outbreak. As a newcomer Priyanka did a good job. Audience will be impressed by her acting, I can say.”
Story of the short film revolves around a lower middle class family. The story tells their struggle during lockdown. In the film Priyanka asks her father to bring rice as there is no food at home. But, her father dies on the way to home due to lung disease. But no one helps him because they thought he died of coronavirus.
‘Ek Kg Chal’ also stars Ahmed Saju, Rozina Shumi and director Ahmed Sabbir Romeo himself.
The film will be released on YouTube today (June 21).
