Indian Border Security Forces pushed in eight Bangla speaking people through the area under Chandshikari BOP of Bholahat upazila of Chapainawabganj district at the early hours of Tuesday.
Members of BGB-59 of Chapainawwabganj arrested those eight people for their illegal entry into Bangladesh from India. The arrested persons were identified as Fayek(28) son of Golab of village Shekhalipur of Chapainawabganj sadar, Azim Sarder(25) son of Abdur Rahman Sarder of village Ambaria village under Dighalia upazila of Khulna, Meem Khatun (19) wife of Azim Uddin of the same area, Rustam Ali(44) son of Shafir Uddin of Harsua Beldahi village under Pirganj upazila of Thakurgaon district, Mofazzal Hossain (35) son of Tofazzal Hossain of village Chakmuktarpur under Charghat upazila of Rajshahi, Dukhi Das(55) wife of Gobardhan Das of village Haridevpur under Tanore upazila of Rajshahi, Ratna Akter Nupur (22) daughter of Atikur Rahman of village Kanchanranipur under Rupganj upazila under Narayanganj district and Nadira Khatun (37) wife of Ibrahin under Baroikhali village under Morelganj of Bagerhat district. A press note issued from Chapainawabganj Mohananda-59 battalion of BGB informed, around 4-30 AM of June-3, eight people ( four males and four females) intruded into Bangladesh through Chanshikari BOP area of Hossainvita Union under Bholahat Police Station of Chapainwagbganj. Later, a patrol team of Chanshikari BOP arrested them from the sero line of International border. Arrested persons informed, they went to India in search of job from 2017 to 2024. Indian Police arrested them from various places for illegal intrusion and they were sent to the Central Jail in Murshedabad in India.
