The construction of eight-lane expressway from Kuril to Balu River, to improve the communication system, is progressing fast. There will also be two service lanes on both sides of the expressway.

Bangladesh Army is implementing the project at 300-foot road for Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) that connects Kuril with the Kanchan Bridge through Purbachal.

While visiting the project area on Wednesday it was found that the workers were passing busy time with their pre-scheduled work. However, the old look of 300-foot road has already been demolished due to the massive construction work.

A worker of the project site while talking to this correspondent said, “We are working here round the clock. The authorities concerned have taken health safety measures to keep the construction work on despite the coronavirus pandemic.”

According to RAJUK, at present 300 feet connecting road is being upgraded to eight-lane expressway with service road widening. For improvement of the road, uninterrupted traffic movement with grade separator work is in progress.
