Zakir Hossain, the caretaker of the center, however, he declined to give further details due to the ban imposed by the higher authorities.

Md Asraful Islam, superintendent of Police said that the fleeing children were quarantined in the guard building next to the main building. They broke the grill of the bathroom window and got out and ran away using a ladder to fix the electric line.

There have been more than one escape before.

The police superintendent also said that the operation has started to catch the fugitives.

It is alleged that the officers and employees brutally tortured 18 child prisoners on August 13 over a trivial incident. Three children were killed and 15 others were hospitalized.
