Eid means joy, Eid means happiness. The rich and middle-class people of the society buy clothes and shoes for the upcoming Eid. But it is not possible for the low-income people of the society. Keeping this idea in mind, a voluntary organization called Abul Kashem Foundation has organized the Eid Bazaar of choice for only 10 Tk to make the helpless, disadvantaged and low-income people smile.

Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahinuzzaman Shahin inaugurated the Eid Bazar at Abul Kashem Plaza in the municipal market on Thursday morning. Sanjida Yasmin Tumpa, Founder Director of Abul Kashem Foundation, MA Alim Ripon, General Secretary of Sujanagar Press Club, SM Sohag Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Abdur Rahman, Sharif Shaon, Omar Farooq, Anisur Rahman and SM Niazul Hasan Riyad were present on the occasion.

Since the inauguration, low-income shoppers have been buying various Eid items from this market for only Tk. 10 including clothes for adults and children. The helpless and disadvantaged people became very happy with such a different kind of arrangement. Young and old alike were overjoyed to receive the product of their choice for only 10 rupees. After talking to to a poor van driver named Hafiz Uddin who came to the market and was accompanied by her 6-year-old child, Hafiz Uddin said that he was very happy to get a lungi for himself and Punjabi for his small child for only Tk 10.  He said, we are poor helpless people. I can't afford to spend so much money to buy new clothes. With the small amount of money I earn by driving a van all day, it becomes difficult to feed the children after running the household expenses. There I got a new Punjabi for the boy and a lungi for me for only 10 Taka.

Khadija, a small child, was very happy to come to this market with Shefali Khatun, another housemaid. She said that she bought the clothes of her choice with only 10 Tk. She is very happy to get her desaired dress. The organizers also expressed their satisfaction to be able to hand over the products of their choice to the disadvantaged people at a nominal price.

Sanjida Yasmin Tumpa, Founding Director of Abul Kashem Foundation said that the market will continue till the day before the holy Eid-ul-Fitr. She further said that since its inception in 2020, the voluntary organization established in the name of late Abul Kashem, former president and former upazila chairman of Sujanagar Upazila A-League, has been working for the welfare of specially abled children, educating street children, standing by the helpless people.
