Eid gifts including Eid clothes have been distributed among the poor, helpless and destitute people in Narail during the holy month of Ramadan marking upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr amid the Corona crisis.
Md. Wahiduzzaman, Convenor of Narail district Jubo League along with others distributed the Eid gifts including 700 Sarees and 300 Lungis among a total of 1000 helpless women and men on Sunday at around 12pm at Rupganj Bazar in Narail town.
Narail district Awami League president Advocate Subash Chandra Bose was present as chief guest in distribution ceremony while Narail Pouro Jubo League president Biplob Biswas Bilo, former UP Chairman Ashis Kumar Biswas, Jubo League leader Mizanur Rahman Khan and Md. Mohsin Uddin were present at the time.
Beneficiaries expressing their happiness said that Narail District Jubo League Convenor Md. Wahiduzzaman has helped us in various festivals and occasions before as well. We benefitted from him at different times. We are very happy to receive the gift items for upcoming Eid and hope that he will remain by our side in future as well.
Md. Wahiduzzaman said, “Eid gifts have been distributed among the helpless and distressed people amid the Corona crisis. Last year, at the beginning of Corona, we also delivered food to the homes of helpless people. We will continue these humanitarian activities in future too”, he said.
