A joint initiative by the Wave Foundation and the British Council, titled Youth Green Entrepreneurship Development, is helping 510 educated but unemployed youths in Chuadanga's Sadar upazilas embark on their entrepreneurial journeys.

The project aims to foster a green economy and tackle climate change by promoting new thinking, social innovation, and responsible youth leadership. Most of these young individuals had long been seeking employment in both the public and private sectors, but with limited opportunities available, the Wave Foundation stepped in to support their transition into entrepreneurship.

According to project sources, local college teachers, journalists, and officials from the departments of Social Welfare, Youth Development, Women Affairs, and Education are actively involved in motivating the selected youths to become self-reliant in their respective communities.

Shariful Alam, the project coordinator, stated that selected youths have been provided with training and financial assistance to develop their business ventures. Deputy Director of Wave Foundation, Nazma Sultana Mili, added that many of the trained individuals have already launched their projects, receiving ongoing support and guidance to ensure sustainable success.
