Rabeya Khandakar, mother of Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eastern Bank Limited (EBL), has passed away at a specialised hospital in Dhaka.
The 86-year-old, who had been suffering from old age complications, died on Sunday.
Wife of late Dr Md Ali Nawab, former professor at the University of Dhaka, Rabeya Khandaker left behind three sons, two daughters and host of relatives to mourn her death.
Her Namaj-e-Janaza was held onMonday at Gulshan Azad Mosque in the capital after Zuhr prayer.
She was then be buried at Banani Graveyard, according to a press statement.
