DUMUNA gets new executive committee

 For the academic year 2023–2024, the Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) has elected a new executive committee.

S.M. Nahian Islam, current student at the Department of Geography and Environment, has just been elected as the organization’s new President

As the General Secretary, Hossain Azmal Pranta, currently studying at the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, has been elected, read a PR. 

The newly elected 15-members Executive Committee was formed with direct voting of its members. 

Elected other members are: Md Asifuzzaman (Vice President), Abdullah Al Masrur Hamim (Joint Secretary), Nazifa Anjum (Treasurer), Nawshin Fatmi (International Secretary), Aadreeta Arif (Press Secretary), Shahria Nusrat (Publication Secretary).

Ahtab Jamil Mahin, Abdullah al Fahad, Shorna Saha, Naima Tarannum, Md Wahiduzzaman Shuvo, Khandaker Mahbuba Akter Misty and Tahzin Munir Arko are the organization’s seven newly elected executive members. 

Dr. Delwar Hossain said, “I have no doubt that you will steer the ship with wisdom and grace.”

S.M. Nahian Islam, the newly elected President of DUMUNA said that “As we embark on this new journey together, I want to emphasize the importance of our mission.

Model United Nations is not just a club, it’s a place where we learn to understand and appreciate diverse perspectives and work together to find solutions to global challenges.

For a long time, we have been working forward to build characteristics such as leadership and ingenuity in University of Dhaka as well as other universities.

In the mean time we have reach beyond the borders and achieved success and recognitions. We promise to work tirelessly toward the continuous growth of this esteemed organization.”  

“I believe that each one of us brings a unique set of skills and talents to the table.

Together we can make our club stronger than ever before.

Let us work together to make this year one of growth learning and achievement.” said Hossain Azmal Pranta, the recently elected General Secretary.
