'I love Bangla, I love Bengal’ is the slogan of Dui Bengal Natyamela 2019, organized by Prangonemor Theater Team at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. This is Prangonemor’s 11th event. After successfully organizing 10 drama festivals in the last 16 years, Prangonemor will host the fair from 6th to 14th December. 9 notable stage plays from Bangladesh and India will be presented at the Natyamela.
4 theater troupes from West Bengal and Delhi and 5 from Bangladesh will take part in the event. Natyamela will be inaugurated by Asaduzzaman Noor MP with incumbent State Minister of Cultural Affairs K M Khalid MP as the chief guest. High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh Riva Ganguly Das and director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky will be present as special guests.
On December 13th at 10 am a discussion event titled ‘Theater Songkot – Dorshok na Bhalo Natok’. Hassan Shahriar will present the keynote paper on the issue and Swapan Roy, Malloy Bhowmik, Ahmed Iqbal Haider, Ratan Siddiqui, Mohammad Ali Haider and Rahman Raju will be present as the chief speakers. Ananto Hira will be present as the convener.
The ‘Prangonemor Natyajoddha Shohojoddha Shomanona 2019’ will be presented to Mamunur Rashid’s wife Gauhar Ara Choudhury, Ataur Rahman’s wife Shahida Rahman and Liaquat Ali Lucky’s wife Kristy Hafez.
