Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) has published the admission circular for the first-year BSc in Engineering and Bachelor of Architecture programs for the academic year 2024-25. According to the announcement, the online application process will begin on May 28 and continue until 4:00 pm on June 20.
The admission test is scheduled to be held on August 10. The list of eligible candidates for the test will be published on July 24. Applicants who are selected can download their admit cards from the official website after the list is published.
Only students who passed the Diploma in Engineering in 2023 or later sessions are eligible to apply for this admission test. Interested candidates have to submit an application fee of Tk 1,500 through the official admission website within the scheduled time.
The admission test will be held based on the prescribed syllabus in two papers, with a total of 300 marks. The test will include 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQ). Details regarding the exam syllabus and structure are available on DUET’s official website.
This year, there will be 120 seats each in Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Textile Engineering departments. Meanwhile, the departments of Architecture, Industrial and Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, and Materials and Metallurgical Engineering will offer 30 seats each.
In total, 750 seats are available for students in this admission session. DUET authorities have requested interested and eligible candidates to complete their applications within the given time and start preparing for the admission test.
