Dudu’s effigy burnt

Leaders and activists of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Friday burnt the effigy of BNP leader Shamsuzzaman Dudu as he issued death threat to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. His effigy was burnt onthe Shaheed Minar premises of the university at noon. Earlier, a protest procession was brought out demanding arrest of Dudu and legal action against BNP. 

The procession began from the university's transport premises. More than two hundred leaders and activists of JU unit BCL attended the procession. The procession ended with a brief rally in front of the Shaheed Minar, passing through several important roads of the campus. JU unit BCL President Jewel Rana said, "Shamsuzzaman Dudu has publicly threatened our Prime Sheikh Hasina. He should be arrested and brought under the law immediately. Wherever he can be found, he will be despised. ” On September 18, the BNP leader at a talk show at a private television channel said, “Sheikh Hasina would leave the way Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman did.”
