DU VC warns of rumour about question leaks

Rumors have been spreading among students about a group of fraudsters seeking admission through online media for three days. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor ASM Maksud Kamal claimed that no such incident happened.

He said these things at a press conference at the social science faculty building of the university on Friday afternoon.

"The main goal of this fraudulent circle is to extort money from our admitted students and parents who are unaware of it," stated the vice chancellor of DU. They are spreading rumors of a question leak because of this. However, we have not yet heard from anyone who claims that this gang has deceived them. He added, "We have told everyone to exercise caution." Additionally, law enforcement authorities have been contacted. Hopefully, the gang will be taken into custody by the police shortly.

The vice chancellor asserted that there was no conflict during the exam. At eleven a.m., a simultaneous examination was held in eight divisional cities across the nation, including Dhaka. I had conversations with representatives from the admissions committee and vice-chancellors of every university on Thursday night and Friday morning. Nothing undesirable happened anywhere.

The admission exam for the 'B' unit of the Faculty of Arts, Law, and Social Sciences, which is for undergraduates in the 2023–24 academic year, was held on Friday from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

In contrast to the 2,934 seats available in the "B" unit exam, 1,22,279 applications have been received.
