Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman urged the students to become a man of moral values instead of a man of success.
The VC was addressing as chief guest the orientation program of 1st year Honours students of different departments under the Faculty of Arts of DU on Tuesday at TSC auditorium. Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office of DU organised the programme.
Director of Students’ Counseling and Guidance Office Professor Dr Mahjabeen Haque presided over the programme while Pro VC (Administration) Professor Dr Muhammad Samad and Dean of the Faculty of Arts Professor Dr Abu Md Delwar Hossain addressed it as special guests. Chairmen and Students Advisors of different departments were present on this occasion.
Professor Akhtaruzzaman called upon the students to prepare themselves with the combination of merit, truthfulness, patriotism and honesty to take future leadership of the country. They must equip themselves with the spirit of Liberation War to serve the nation, the VC added.
