On the occasion of the birth anniversary of the great architect of independence Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the celebration of National Children's Day-2022, the authorities of Dhaka University have taken various programmes on Thursday 17 March 2022. On the occasion of celebrating the day, the theme this time is "Bangabandhu's birthday pledge, equal rights for all children ".
According to the programme, a gathering will be held at Smriti Chironton Chattar on Thursday, March 17 at 6:45 am, at 7:00 am visit Bangabandhu Memorial Museum and under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman, teachers, students, officials and staff of the university will lay wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu at the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in Dhanmondi.
A discussion will be held at 10:30 am in the Teacher Students center (TSC) auditorium. Vice-Chancellor Professor Md Akhtaruzzaman will preside over the discussion.
A prayer and Milad Mahfil will be organized after Zuhr prayer at Masjidul Jamia, the central mosque of University. In addition, prayers, supplications and discussion meetings will be held in mosques and places of worship in dormitories. A cultural program will be held at the TSC auditorium at 6:30 pm on the initiative of the music department.
On the occasion of the day, a drawing competition will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00 am in the cafeteria of the TSC at the initiative of the Faculty of Fine Arts. The competition will be held in three groups: Group-A (from play-group to 3rd class), Group-B (from 4th class to 7th class) and Group-C (from 8th class to 10th class). Subject of painting of Group-A: Open and Subject of Group-B and C: Bangabandhu and Bangladesh. Contestants must bring with them an attested photocopy of the original school identity card and identity card for verification of age or class. Authorities will provide drawing paper; other materials will have to bring their own. A total of 30 prizes will be given to the best 10 in each group in the drawing competition.
Children from Dhaka University Laboratory School and College, Udayan High School, Nilkhet High School and University residential areas children will be able to participate in the competition.
