Dhaka University Marketing Department and Geology Department's freshman admission and farewell ceremony was held on Sunday. Prof Dr ASM Maqsood Kamal, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), engaged in the routine duties of the Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, was present as the chief guest in the various events.
Professor of the Faculty of Business Studies. Mohammad Habibullah conference hall in the new recruitment ceremony of the department chairman Prof. Dr. ABM Shahidul Islam presided. Acting Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies. Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan special guest and professor. Mizanur Rahman spoke as the orientation speaker. Humaida Banu scholarship was awarded to 3 students of different academic year of BBA program in the event.
The chairman of the Geology Department held in the student-teacher center auditorium. Bangladesh Open University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Syed Humayun Akhtar was the guest of honor and Professor Dr Mo Zillur Rahman, Dean of Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Dhaka University spoke as special guest.
In the speech of the chief guest, Professor Dr ASM Maqsood Kamal congratulated and wished the freshmen and outgoing students and said that the university is an institution where junior and senior scholars exchange knowledge. He said that the quality of life of common people should be improved through new research and innovation. He urged the students to become people with moral and human values and engage in the service of the country.
